Lesson 1 · Young Builder / Capstone
Finding what to fix.
You know exactly how your product works. You know which menu option to pick, what format the date wants, which things to avoid.
That knowledge makes you useless as a tester. You'll unconsciously steer around every rough edge you built.
A real user knows none of it. They'll do things you never imagined within thirty seconds — and every one of those is information you can't get any other way.
You've done this twice before — with your Scratch game and your website — and it's the same rule, because it's the hardest one to follow:
Hand it over and say nothing.
Not "you have to press 1 first". Not "oh, that's not finished". Not "just ignore that bit". The moment you explain, you've destroyed the thing you were trying to measure.
Watch where they hesitate. Watch what they try. Write it down. Their confusion is your bug report, and it's free.
