Always verify

You know AI can be confidently wrong. Knowing it isn't enough — you need a habit that catches it.

And here's the uncomfortable part: you are responsible for what you hand in, share or publish. "The AI said so" is not a defence that works anywhere — not with a teacher, not with an employer, not with a reader.

If you pass it on, you're vouching for it.

Not everything needs the same scrutiny. Sort by cost of being wrong:

• Check hard — facts, dates, numbers, names, quotes, anything you'll submit or publish. Find a real source.
• Check lightly — explanations of concepts. Does it match your textbook or what your teacher said?
• Barely check — pure creative suggestions with no factual claim. There's nothing to be wrong about.

The question to ask: if this is wrong, what happens? A wrong story idea costs nothing. A wrong date in a submitted project costs marks and your credibility.
