Spot the AI hiding in face unlock, Maps, recommendations and voice assistants.
You lift your phone and — click — it unlocks the moment it sees your face. Your little brother tries the same phone and it stays locked. 🤔
Nobody typed in a rule that says "this exact face = unlock." So how does it know? The answer is Artificial Intelligence — AI for short.
AI is any system that can notice patterns, make predictions, or produce useful results from information.
Your phone learned what your face looks like from many photos, found the pattern, and now it predicts: "Yes, that's probably her." You meet AI dozens of times a day:

AI is a very smart guesser, not a mind-reader. It works from information and patterns — so it can be brilliant, and it can also be wrong.
