Lesson 1 · Responsible AI
How rules can accidentally favour one group.
Sometimes a rule looks perfectly neutral but quietly gives one group an advantage. When AI does this, we call it bias — and it's a big deal.
An AI learns from data. If the data is unfair or lopsided, the AI copies that unfairness — usually without anyone noticing at first.
Biased data in → biased AI out.
